Winchester has been producing quality firearm products since 1866. It was this year when they released the Model 1866 rifle that helped "win the West". Since then, they haven't lost much momentum. Of course, they also produce an incredible line of full blown long gun safes. These are steel boxes, created for supreme protection - not some sheet metal, break-in prone gun cabinet. They come available in the Tradition, Legend, and Legacy series, each boasting a high level of fire protection, as well as security against burglary. Their most expensive and feature-loaded model, the Legacy is rated to withstand a 1200 degree fire for an hour. In addition, it weighs 1000 lbs, can hold 51 guns, and is sealed in by an ultra secure 18 1 1/2" steel bolts around the perimeter of the door - all for an average cost of 00.
Of course, the Legacy is the Winchester gun safe flagship, but the other models easily provide an equal amount of value, depending on your requirements. If you're just looking for a massive tank of a safe for a relatively inexpensive price, you should consider the Tradition series. Though it doesn't boast quite the bolt count or level of fire protection, the security is still top notch, and you can hold over 50 rifles and shotguns in the top model.
